UNSTRUCTURED: ART EXHIBTION
A SOLO EXHIBITION BY JERÈ ALEXANDRA
Opening Reception: AUGUST 23RD, 2025 | 6-9pm
DepARTure GALLERY invites you to experience Unstructured—a compelling solo exhibition by abstract artist Jere Alexandra transforming self-reclamation into textured, layered works that embrace imperfection. Through raw brushwork and bold movement, each piece is a visual journal entry, offering an honesty, resilience and the freedom found in letting go.

A VISUAL UNRAVELING
Unstructured is a visual unraveling an intimate look at what happens when we stop trying to hold it all together. Through bold movement and unapologetic color, each piece shows the tension between control and release, chaos and clarity, pain and transformation.
This exhibition is rooted in my personal feelings. As a woman who has moved through betrayal, burnout, motherhood, and quietly rebuilding after grief, my artistic process became the one space where I could stop performing, where I could let things fall apart. I speak through strokes and find pieces of myself in the mess. I didn’t start painting to be understood, I painted to feel again. Each piece began with a question, not a plan. The result is raw, layered, and emotional. Some paintings are heavy, while others are light. Together, they are the story of a woman choosing to live her truth, even when it’s loud and jagged.
This isn’t about perfection. This is about unraveling quietly behind closed doors, carrying beauty and pain, strength and weakness, and learning to trust the process.
Unstructured is not the end result. It is the release along the way.

ABOUT JERÈ ALEXANDRA
Jerè Alexandra is a self-taught abstract artist based in Phoenix by way of Boston, whose work moves at the intersection of emotion, memory, and identity. With raw brushwork and layered texture, her art isn’t about perfection, it’s about confession. Her practice takes a step back from what is seen to focuses on what is felt. Each piece is a visual journal entry, honest, unfiltered, and grounded in healing. Through her work, Jerè invites us to create with the same emotional freedom.
